Our Goals

The St Peter’s Project aims to provide a:

Community Hub, creating an environment in which people want to socialise and learn, hosting additional activities on top of the current work, for example:

• A Homework Club – for young people with nowhere to work quietly at home
• A Drop-In Centre – for the homeless in Colchester
• A Wellbeing Café – for those who are lonely or suffering with mental health

Support Hub, partnering with local organisations to provide:

• A Celebrate Recovery group – for those with hurts, habits, and hang-ups such as addiction, anxiety, depression, eating disorders and stress
• A Mums and Toddlers group – offering particular support for those with post-natal depression
• A Bereavement Support group

Ministry Hub, providing opportunities for the training of lay people for future ministry, including:

• Gospel training to equip for mission
• Lectures and seminars on contemporary issues by leading speakers
• Teaching and seminars for local preachers
• Workshops on how to run a Life Explored course with a small group or individuals
